Strictly week 5 my thoughts
JB & Amy - Jive
Nice timing and musicality. Now he needs to learn to use the ankles so that jive flicks happen not all kicks this will also make it look less stepped.
Punam and Gorka- Viennese waltz
Nice when in hold, the frame was good and she held it throughout but it was safe. She doesn’t look fully confident when not in hold.
Jamie & Michelle - Paso Doble
Needs to lift his head and have a longer neck line, but his body shape was really good. Lovely, story telling was beautiful and musicality great.
Chris and Dianne - Waltz That was a hard song to dance. It was a very emotional, as a Liverpudlian I loved it. Great use of heels and toes and nice sway ( even though Craig didn’t see it ) And the rise and fall was lovely
Tasha & Aljaz - Tango
Loved the solo at the beginning. Beautiful frame a very good action. Love the choreography and the story telling. She lock her core near the end but otherwise brilliant.
Paul & Karen - Samba
He definitely needs to work on his arms and his posture. There was plenty of Samba content and though his action was all wrong and there was no bounce his foot positions were not bad in places though the footwork was not correct.
Sam & Nakita - Quickstep When the professional dances the wrong footwork and out of time how can the celebrity dance correctly. I can see improvement and if she had a better partner she be great but the best dancer can’t dance ballroom with a lead whose posture is not under his body.
Pete and Jowita - Rumba A bit more weight through the floor would have made the body action better. I liked the story telling.
Sarah & Vito - Samba
Good long leg lines but could have done with more bounce but the knees where at times to straight to create it. Her arms need control as the where flung back behind the body especially on the PP runs.
Shayne & Nancy - American Smooth
His legs action was beautiful until he went in hold then he lost the tracking a little. Arms need a little work but the lifts were exquisite.
Wynne & Katya - A quickstep is difficult to make smooth for me there was to much bounce on the Chasses BUT. He really covered the floor and told the story well very rhythmical and lovely timing.
Montell & Jojo - couples choice
Loved the cumbia rhythmical steps and the artistic expression in the jonkunnu. Full of energy loved it.
